Grilled Plate of Asparagus, Portobello and Smoked Sausage Scented with Savory Leaves

Grilled Plate of Asparagus, Portobello and Smoked Sausage Scented with Savory Leaves

Serving Size - 6 people

Ingredients

1 cup Olive Oil

¼ cup Summer Savory leaves - roughly chopped (or use a mix of thyme and parsley)

1½ pounds Asparagus - washed and trimmed

3 Portobello Mushrooms - cut in half through its circumference

2 pounds any fully cooked Smoked Sausage - cut on an angle

½ cup Balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Infuse the savory in the oil by warming in a 2 cup sauce pan over a very low heat for 15 minutes. Don't let the oil boil for you don't want to fry the herb. Heat the grill to very hot. Brush all ingredients with the infused oil and grill. The asparagus will take about 5 minutes; the Portobello mushroom will take 8 to 10 minutes; and the sausage just needs to be warmed through. Lightly brush with the infused oil after removing from the grill and drizzle with the vinegar.
