I love to make this recipe and hope that you will too!

Back Porch Mint Julep

Measurements are for 1 drink

Ingredients

1 teaspoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon water

6-7 large fresh mint leaves, cleaned Crushed ice

4 tablespoons Kentucky bourbon (my new favorite is Woodford Reserve)

Instructions

Put sugar, water and mint leaves in the bottom of a sturdy glass, silver cup or even a jelly jar. Mash with a spoon to ""muddle"" the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved. Fill glass with ice. When it is cold on the outside, pour the bourbon through the ice. Stir gently and serve.
