Ingredients

4 seafood steaks, such as yellowfin tuna, halibut, swordfish, or seabass, cut 1 inch thick
8 tablespoons mayonnaise
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper

Methods/steps

Grilling Method: Direct/Medium Heat

Coat steaks on both sides with mayonnaise. Season to taste. Place on the cooking grate over Direct Medium heat. Cook, turning once halfway through cooking time, until fish is opaque but still moist in center (about 10 minutes).

Serve Immediately.

Note: Don’t let the simplicity of this recipe fool you, Nantucket Islanders use this recipe mostly for swordfish and it is one of their favorite summer meals, especially when paired with thick slices of ruby-red garden tomatoes.
